BahtWise ("we", "us", "our") operates baht-wise.com. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how we protect it. We keep things simple because travel planning should be stress-free — and so should understanding your privacy.

What we collect

Trip planner & budget calculator inputs

When you use our tools, we process your travel preferences (destinations, dates, budget, interests) to generate results. This data is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) for itinerary generation. We do not store your inputs after your session ends.

Analytics

We use basic analytics to understand how people use the site — page views, tool usage, and general traffic patterns. We do not track individual users across sessions or sell this data.

Newsletter

If you sign up for our newsletter, we store your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Contact form

If you contact us, we receive your name, email, and message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry.

Cookies

We use minimal cookies:

  • Essential cookies — required for the site to function (session handling)
  • Analytics cookies — help us understand traffic patterns (Google Analytics)

Third-party services

  • Anthropic (Claude AI) — processes trip planner requests. Subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.
  • Vercel — hosts our website. Subject to Vercel's privacy policy.
  • Agoda — hotel data and bookings. Subject to Agoda's privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics — website analytics. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
  • Leaflet / CartoDB — map tiles for itinerary maps.

Data protection

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties beyond what is described above. We do not store trip planner or budget calculator inputs beyond your active session. We use HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to any personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Unsubscribe from communications at any time
  • Disable cookies in your browser settings
